Jul 26 2008 - 9:00pm

This year's festival is a 5-hour community appreciation day with music by Kelly's Old Timers from 4-5:30 p.m. and Trilogy from 5:30-7 p.m. A third band is planned for the final two hours. Families are welcomed to picnic in the park or enjoy food from our concessions with dining in the entertainment tent. We are planning fun activities for children, too.

Silver Lake, Perry NY

Formed by glaciers and rimmed by glacial drumlins, Silver Lake is nestled amid rural farms and historic communities.

In the 1800s thousands of people came by train to the east side depot to attend lectures at the Chautauqua-like Institute grounds, swim, skate, dance, stay at Walker Hotel, study art and ride the excursion boats. Early lake-dependent businesses included icehouses and gristmills. Today, boating, swimming and fishing draw many visitors to this idyllic lake year-round.
