American Legion Soapbox Derby
Each August, American Legion's local post sponsors a derby on Main Street free of charge to kids who work with Legion members to build derby cars to race for trophies and bragging rights. Some boys and girls drive derby cars passed on by dads and uncles who raced as kids.
